The 7th District Benevolent Fund is up and running strong having just completed its second fund raiser. The 7th District Benevolent Fund has been established for the benefit of members of the Magnificent 7th and thier families. The fund can be called upon when our members or dependents meet uncomfortable or tragic situations that warrant assistance. It is also in the authority of the board to start a scholarship program and coordinate fundraising activities. "Having the opportunity to meet so many throughout the Magnificent 7th, it was my wish to start a worthwhile project that would outlast myself and others, hopefully to benefit many for years to come", states DVP Ricky Walsh.
The second annual Columbia River Shad fishing derby and the 3rd annual benevolent ride at WSCFF convention both were just completed and raised $800 and $320 respectively. Additionally, Magnificent 7th henley shirts have been produced and will be sold at events throughout Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Idaho but if you can not wait, please send a check to 7th District Benevolent Fund for $25.00 plus $7.00 shipping. It may sound like an expensive shirt but each sale direct $10 to the benevolent fund with all other dollars the cost of the shirt and shipping.
The starting board consist of Chairman Ricky Walsh, Pam Stockman, and Curtis Walsh. The first named administer is newly wed Kelly Walsh (the hire price was right). The board will have quarterly meetings are looking for Locals that may want to host fundraising events that will benefit the 7th. The address is as follows:
